Planning Board to Consider Hiring a Facilitator for Canonchet Farm Plan

The Narragansett Planning Board will meet on March 4, 2010, at 6:00 P.M. in the Board Room, Narragansett Town Hall to consider (among other agenda items) a Request for Proposal to hire a facilitator to "discover what the townspeople want to have have happen at Canonchet Farm."

Facilitator Would be Unnecessary Expense and Delay

The Friends of Canonchet Farm Board of Trustees feels that hiring a facilitator is unnecessary and will only cause further delay in completion of the Master Plan.

We encourage you to attend this and other Planning Board hearings concerning Canonchet Farm, and subsequent discussions of the Master Plan by the Town Council.

The Friends of Canonchet Farm held a special meeting of members and nonmembers at the Narragansett Community Center on Thursday June 25, 2009 to discuss key differences between the Canonchet Farm Master Plan Review Committee's report and our vision and recommendations for the property.
